I've just received tickets to see Monster Magnet at Manchester Academy on Dec 9 and Placebo at the Manchester Central (previously the GMEX) on December 12. I can't wait. 2 of my very favourite bands. Plus I found out that the Horrors (quite a good newish indie outfit) are supporting Placebo so I know I've got some good times a comin'. | ||

Weber - I saw Placebo at music festival near Gdansk this summer. They played after on line-up with The Prodigy, Faith No More, Moby, The Prodigy, Kings of Leon, not all on the same day mind you, and they blew everyone else off stage. They were incredible, even standing at the back of sixty thousand fans! Never heard of Monster Magnet, but at my age I'm disqualified from having to be in on the music loop. | ||

I've seen Placebo at least 6 times now. I know what I'm in for - and their new album is possibly the best they've done. I've only seen Monster Magnet twice before but never at an intimate venue like the Academy. That's going to be great I hope. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN1Eca3C3RI |
