Just saw this on the BFS site: "Please note that the York Open Night planned for October 31 has been cancelled. Instead there will be one on Saturday, 30 January 2010, at York Brewery. Our apologies to anyone who had made plans to travel to the event." From my point of view, that's good as I couldn't manage 31 October (Doctor Who convention on the same day  ). With a bit of luck, I'll be OK for the January one. Anyone else from here likely to be going? | ||

I like football. I'm a Sunderland fan, because I was born there - and in the north east football rivalry runs deep: it's all tied up with the (now defunct) shipbuilding on the banks of the Wear and the Tyne. | ||

Steve, Gary - I'm going to have to find out what you guys look like so that I can recognise you at the York do. Ally - I think I'll recognise you! In my case, just look for the plump, middle-aged lady who - in the words of someone from Pantechnicon I was meeting at Alt-Fiction the other year - "looks LEAST likely to be into horror"!  | ||
