My two contributor copies of the paperback edition of The Mammoth Book of Best of Best New Horror (to give it its full title!) turned up completely unexpectedly this morning, which was a lovely surprise. I have, of course, immediately read all the bits of the book relevant to me, and and now blushing with the nice things that Steve J and Ramsey have said about me - thanks, Ramsey! And congratulations to all the other authors who are included!

This sounds cool. Retrospective anthologies from series are usually great.

I have three stories in BNH. but none in Best of BNH. Good call.

Thanks all! Still feels like a very odd thing, like it's happening to someone else, or like at some point someone's going to tap me on the shoulder and say, 'We're sorry, there's been a terrible mistake, it's the other Simon Kurt Unsworth who's story we meant to print'. Until then, however, I'm riding this baby as far as it'll go!
