Before I buy the "Brighton Shock" book (from PS), does anyone know what's by Ramsey in the anthology? Is it a formerly unpublished story, is it a non-fiction, an essay? And what title? Thanks for any enlightment. | ||

I've just checked "BRIGHTON SHOCK" table of contents on Steve Jones's website. There appears to be the "A CASE OF DAVID" title by Ramsey Campbell. Is it a story or is it, maybe, a non-fiction about David Case, who also appears in the anthology? Maybe an interview with the author? Well, thanks for shedding any light! | ||

Ah yes, "The Guide" from 'Waking Nightmares'... a cracking little ode to M.R. James that would have made a great 'Ghost Story for Christmas'. | ||

'The Guide' is one of my very favourite Ramsey tales. In fact, I'd say it's one of Ramsey's perfect short stories - in its edited form for the audio version that he produced. Less is more! |
