Well, what I saw of the film was so boring I can't imagine it being worse. But then we all know it somehow will be... |

Yeah - it was crap that one. Tedium broken up by moments of crapness. Agreed. Which begs the question: why even bother to remake it? |

Agreed - I've only ever seen this in its cut state and got about halfway through and seriously considered switching the damn thing off, but then braved it to the end. Bearing in mind the subject matter, I can see that they can make it more explicit now but will it be one little bit better? No. Not at all. |

Thing is, it was a very simple tale told with as little skill or enthusiasm as possible. I honestly don't think anyone making it had any feelings about any aspect of it; it literally felt blank. |

Absolutely, Tony, almost as if Zarchi had a lightbulb go off, realised he ticked every "shock/horror" box and cracked on without any thought of how he would draw the viewer in. Going back on what I said about explicitness before - and judging by some of the lame/PG-13 remakes recently, what if this actually got blander and less involving? Would that be possible, do you think? |

The thing I remember most about the original (and I think I had an uncut vesion) was how astonished I was at the size of her muff. Still I think the record holder for the largest muff in film history. |

Don't mention muffs! Funny but I think big bushes are lovely, even if they are untrendy. They look sort of ... snuggly. |

>> Is this what it's come to? Remaking rubbish like I Spit on Your Grave? This is okay by me. I'd rather they remake the bad movies than the good ones. Maybe they can make them better this time. :-) |

Great title (because of course it was originally Day of the Woman, which also isn't bad, but then it got retitled by the aptly named Jerry Gross) but they should use it to make a completely different (or at least re-imagined) film. Set it in the world of high finance, make the rape metaphorical and the revenge more of a ... What on earth am I going on about? |

They could make the woman already dead. |
