Just a quick note to confirm that the names listed below are the people we have down to attend the Curry at "Chutneys" on Saturday at 6.30pm... Last year we divided the bill equally between everyone regardless of what they had to eat and drink, this seemed to be the most practical way of paying the bill For ease of collecting the money on the night can you please have it ready in CASH, this worked really well last year and it makes it much easier when paying. Sorry but it looks like I'll have to pull out of this one, courtesy of the wankstains in my company's payroll department not putting my overtime through. I'll still be at FCon but on a rather foreshortened budget, so I won't be doing any book-shopping till the last day of the Con and may not be able to buy all the books I wanted to- so if I promised to buy yours and I don't, it's nothing personal. For Christ's sake. It just gets better and better. I just rang the Plaza Hotel (not having received a confirmation of booking) to double check I was booked in and make a note of the room rate... to be told they had me booked for 17-18th DECEMBER. They then told me that they could book me in for the FCon weekend, but the room rates would be higher- £96 for Friday and £120 for Saturday. This is beyond a fucking joke. Anyone know if there are any rooms left at the Britannia? | ||

Stephen Theaker will know if you drop him an email. There was one hotel that was cheaper than the Britannia. If that was the Plaza then they must have put the rate up massively at the last minute. | ||

Apparently they're almost fully booked. Despite the fact that they can't even get the fucking dates right. Just checked the Shitannia's website and they're fully booked. If anyone knows a good CHEAP hotel in Nottingham please let me know. Sorry for multiple swearings, but it's looking at the minute like I may not be able to make FCon at all, which really pisses me off. | ||

Thank you. Managed to get booked in the Jury's Inn (thank god for Facebook- Sarah Pinborough and Lou Morgan calmed me down and pointed me in the direction of booking.com) and Graham Joyce very kindly offered me his room at the Plaza as he can't go. Which is a same- he's a true gent. Anyway, blood pressure is now returning to normal... See you all on Friday! | ||
