I know it isn't horror or fantasy per se but I was awed by the storytelling magnificance of Episode 1 of Jim McGovern's "The Accused" last night.

Okay, it required some unbelief suspension at times but the plotting was so tight it hurt and the character engine simply purred.

Ecclestone was the perfect man for the part.

And it was dark in just the way I like my dark. Mr Everyman sucked into a quicksand of ever increasing desperation and trouble. And not a vampire or zombie in sight (God I'm sick of those octagenrian has-beens).

This is exactly the type of story I want to write!

Cheers
Terry

McGovern is great. Looking forward to this.
