Thanx to my stunningly fantastic performance as Gordon in Sylvia's Wedding last week, I have just been informed that I will now be playing Roy in Nevilles Island by Tim Firth from 19th - 26th March next year at Farnworth Little Theatre. There's a date for all your diaries. |

Woo-hoo! Well done, Weber! If it was nearer to me, I'd come along and see you perform, I really would. |

As a former treader of the amatur boards, I know what a great feeling it is to actually get a part and then to actually get up there and perform in front of an audience, so congratulations, and all the best with it. Has anyone else acted? And if so, what parts did you play? I did write and Direct three plays (available to anyoen who wants to stage them) and I think I enjoyed Directing more than acting. But I miss it all so much now I'd take on any role or job. Regards Terry |

Done some acting in the past... including Reverend Tooker in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Tomazo in The Changeling, Douglas in Henry IV Part One (Stage), a lecherous, chain-smoking, hard-drinking talking rat, a fsh-crazed student with a thing for home brewing, a psychopathic stalker and an unfrocked devil (Radio) and... er... Santa's little helper on an episode of Brookside. You can see why I focused on writing. |

>>Has anyone else acted? And if so, what parts did you play?<< As someone who used to suffer from severe stage fright (until I forced myself to overcome it so that I could stand in front of a group of students and teach), I've tried to avoid acting at every turn. I recall one school play which I just couldn't get out of. I had to play a corpse! People said afterwards that they'd never seen a corpse shake so much. I'm actually rather proud of that now, with hindsight! |

I find it physically impossible to stand up and perform anything in front of anyone. It just isn't in my make-up. I stand in awe of people like Weber, seriously I do... |

I prefer being on stage to real life. At least I know what I'm supposed to say when I'm on stage. Much easier than all this actuality and properly interacting with people. |
