Hi all, I posted this in the All Hallows discussion forum as well, and I thought it would be equally interesting for the RCMB members. I recently finished the recent ghostly novel Dark Matter by Michelle Paver. It's set in the arctic, on Spitsbergen, and thus ideal reading for these cold days! If you're interested, I just uploaded a short video review on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBtsFv1AuQA You'll, of course, have to endure my heavy accent. If you can't, the executive summary is that I liked it very much, to my taste it's one of the best ghostly novels I read in quite some time. You'll notice a number of similarly titled videos in the YouTube sidebar. These are competition entries, where the task was to remix the official book trailer, which I link here (it's worth watching): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpjx0RoI8_Q cheers, Tom |

Zed & Steve: the book is totally worth your attention, and to bump it to the forefront of the tbr pile. It's an ideal winter read. Very well done atmosphere indeed. |
