The next Exaggerated Press venture will be an on-line quarterly called "Wordland". While not finalised yet it is likely to be for stories of 2,000 words and under and of no specific genre, in fact, it will be a chance to experiment outside of your writing comfort zones by straying into territory you don’t normally write in. I will be looking for literate, intelligent and original work. Importantly, they must be damn good stories. I would like at least one article an issue as well. My own favourite short story writers? The list is long, but it includes Thomas Hardy, F Scott Fitzgerald, Guy de Maupassant, Stephen Donaldson, Saki, James Joyce, Katherine Mansfield, Ray Bradbury, Philip K Dick and Robert Sheckley. Also, quite a lot of folk who appear on this message board and with whom I have shared a tipple or two.

Keep an eye on the Exaggerated Website at http://exaggeratedpress.weebly.com/index.html

Ceers
Terry

What sort of articles would you be looking for, Terry? My non-fiction is probably better than my fiction!

I have no specific idea at the moment. Wordland won't be primarily horror or fantasy based although all sorts of work will be welcome. So, a comment on the world, on some aspect of life or art or mdeia, something informative, about writers or writing.

That probably doesn't help much! Some of the threads on thsi message boad make for the sort of interesting reading I'm thinking about.

Regards
Terry

Hmmm - food for thought. I'll get my thinking cap on and see if I can come up with something which might interest you. Cheers Terry!

Good luck with this, Terry. I'm excited by the idea of reading something outside any particular genre.
