Allen Ashley is looking for submissions for his new anthology (until 30th April 2011)for Eibonvale Press, entitled "Where Are We Going?".
Check out the full guidelines here:

http://www.eibonvalepress.co.uk/infoforwriters.htm

Having previously produced Subtle Edens and Catastrophia for Elastic and PS respectively, Allen's anthologies tend to be never less than fascinating. Spread the word and rise to the challenge!

Excellent! Eibonvale books are always interesting and slightly eccentric! I certainly intend to submit to this, if I can get my act together.

Cheers for the info, Douglas!

I agree Rhys, I'm just polishing up my sub. It has been one of those stories that did not want to be born. also, I have never been able to get a sub past that Ashley fellow and achieving this feat has becoem a sort of lifelong obssession.

Also, as I have trumpeted far too often, my next novel, "Bloody War", is due out from Eibonvale now-ish.

Cheers

Yes, that Ashley fellow is like the Symplegades -- the clashing rocks that Jason had to sail the Argo through. Ashley's bald head is one rock and his subjective discernment is the other! Time your submission wrong and crash! splinter! down goes your story to the bottom of the foaming sea!

That's the way I see it, anyway. But I'm like that.

"I'm just polishing up my sub."

Why not get him/her to join the RCMB as well?

'Excellent! Eibonvale books are always interesting and slightly eccentric! I certainly intend to submit to this, if I can get my act together.'

I spent some time with the publisher of Eibonvale Press at Fantasycon last year chatting about small press issues and how he was trying to develop the press. Bought Nina Allan's wonderful collection, too.

Golly... I suddenly feel like I have friends after all! Now get writing all of you, and I'll lean on Allen for you. I bought your Bull Running For Girls, Ally, but in a fit of the kindness for which I am not famous I gave it to Andy Coulthard to take back to Sweden as a crash course on modern horror, so not seen it since. Andy and I have written a story together for WAWG (as we are now calling this anthology like the hip young things we're not) which Allen may or may not accept being the enigmatic wizard he is. There now, wasn't that brave? If Allen rejects it I'll look a right tit in front of all of you....come on in the water's lovely.

BRFG'S....okay. All sounds interesting...

WAWG. Great to hear about it. Thank you for spreading the news!

Do we have a book somewhere that spells out something rude. If there is Rhys is bound to have it..

Well now... our Blind Swimmer anthology was sometimes shortened in emails to "BS"... an assessment which a few unkind reviewers seem to have shared since. But they're all wrong of course, because Rhys for instance says it's anthology of the epoch and I know Rhys is a genius because he told me so...

Acronyms are interesting. Leaving out the definite article, with The Grin of the Dark you get GOD.

Had a great night at the BFS shindig and book launch last Friday. Woke up with a sore throat on Saturday, because I'd been yakking all night!

Honored to be in this anthiology, which is the first time I've managed to slip a story past the formidable Allen Ashley - someone must have distracted him at that moment. And it is a gorgeous book.

Cheers
Terry

Also sad to hear that contributor Geoff Stevens has since died, which gives the book a bittersweet feel.
