Saw him a few days ago – new material uneven (with the odd high spot), but the old songs don't so much hit the spot as take it out with precision bombing. Songs like 'Touch and Go', 'Home Is Where the Heart Is', 'Fred Astaire' and the more recent 'Bittersweet' make the listener feel unworthy of having ears. Gregson is great - I've loved his stuff from the days when he was partnered with Christine Collister back in the 'eighties. |
