It deserves a hearing. I read an early draft that needed a bit of work done on it but the power of his imagery and all pervading sense of moral and mental decay was very impressive and not a little promising. It reminded me in no small measure of the early works of Ramsey Campbell with a tinge of Joel Lane's urban wasteland of the soul.
