The illustrations aren't - they look as if they're taken from an actual Ladybird book c. 1950 - but the text certainly is. Anyone else think of Jack Warner and Dixon of Dock Green when they looked at the illustrations? 'Allo, allo, allo, wot's all this then?' | ||

Sigh. Yes, those days. Was talking about telephones today, and how not many people had them and had to go out in the rain or some such if you needed to make a call, and use the phone book that would be lying there nearly every time. God how I hate mobile phones, even though I love mine. In fact if I was PM I would make it so only me and my friends could use them. Using buses now is a nightmare because of the racket the chavs play on them - and yes, it is invariably chavs. The emos just blast it out of their ipod headphones (ysterday one guy's music was so loud i could hear it over the music playing on mine - and the noise of the engines, which I'd deliberately sat near). | ||
