http://www.jeffvandermeer.com/2011/08/30/table-of-contents-the-weird-edited-by-a nn-and-jeff-vandermeer/ I am delighted that Steve Duffy's LION'S DEN story from Nemonymous Nine: CERN ZOO (2009) is in the above book. Just looking at the contents list - this is a major event for any story in the whole history of Weird Literature! (Congratulations, Steve!) |

It's good to see you there as well, Ramsey! Elsewhere in the interaether I started to make a list of the stories in this antho which were instrumental in turning me on to weird fiction from an early age, and keeping me there down the years. So I had the Bradbury, the Blackwood, the MRJ, the HPL, the Mervyn Peake, the Leiber, the Bixby, the Sansom, the Kafka (KAFKA!), the Borges (BORGES!), the Carter (CARTER!)... and then I had to stop, because the list started to look too much like the TOC. |

Well done, all. Duffy - that's one of your best tales. A worthy addition to a fine ToC. Now, please expand it into a novel. If you refuse, I may have to hurt you. |

Congratulations to all who have a story included in this anthology- it looks incredible. I hope that it doesn't cost too much because I want to own a copy to read as the nights grow darker. |
