Er, just seen Hancock today and must say go see; it's better than Iron Man and Incredible Hulk - more fun, more sad, more affecting. Smith is just great these days. I only hope they don't spoil it by making a sequel. Thing is, it's actually not that action packed or particularly fresh, just surprisingly thoughtful, and gets high marks for that alone. High School Musical is ancient now but what an innocent, joyous treat, and what great songs and cast. It's a plastic world, but like so many musicals before it it feels strangely spiritual as a result. I loved it, and wish the worls were just a little more like it. |
