I finished this last night. I read the last thirty pages in the kitchen so as not to wake my wife from getting her sleep for an early start. I cried like a baby at the end. This is simply a wonderful, wonderful novel that is one of the best books King has ever written. |

Des - I can't stop thinking about the last pages. Beautiful. Heart-wrenching. It's already been optioned by Jonathan Demme, and though I admire his work, this book is crying out for Frank Darabont. King's wrote some fine books in his time, in fact some of my favourite books of all time, but this book is his Of Mice And Men (funnily enough). As for The Dark Tower series, I believe it will be read long after we're gone as one of the finest dark fantasy achievements of all the books out there. |

You have me wanting to read it, Frank. Is it science fiction or fantasy? I go for years without reading him but always return to King in the end. The synopsis reminded me of 'The Dead Zone' for some reason. |

I know it involves time travel, Frank, but is it of the science fiction ('The Time Machine') or fantasy ('A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court') variety? |

I'm just curious as to how the time travelling occur? By physical means ('The Sleeper Awakes') or metaphysical ('A Christmas Carol')? I love a good time travel yarn. |

Don't ask anything more than that, Steve. Just go and buy it and come back and tell me I didn't over-exaggerate the point this time. I know you thought I saw too much in Drive (I still think I didn't, but that's the beauty of opinion), but I honestly don't believe I am with this one (: |

I put it third, behind Silent Land by Graham Joyce and The Concrete Grove by some chap I can't recall the name of. All great books that effect the reader in very different ways. |

Fantastic novel. Moved me more than anything I've read in a long time. |
