There's quite a lot of micro-budgeted stuff being released on DVD (this one is on the Danger After Dark label) with few of the film review magazines giving them any column space (which kind of reminds me of the old days).

If anyone fancies a bit of zero-budget, gory but thoughtful horror this little effort isn't bad. A girl is abducted, beaten and has her face cut off only for her to wake up and for it to happen all over again, only a bit differently each time and with another layer of the plot revealed.

I, jaded old warhouse of the horror genre that I am, worked out the ending just before it came but it works very well and was good enough to leave me thinking about the implications not just of the story but of how we view violence in these sorts of films.

THANK, you. I was going crazy not finding it the other day....

When any movie includes the description face-being-cut-off-repeatedly, I says to myself, Self? Let's us go rent up a DVD!
