So is anyone here at all watching "Breaking Bad"? I've seen all of them through Season 3, and had all of Season 4 on DVR. Now with Season 5 about to start (July 15), I'm finally working through last year's episodes, one a day... holy f#@$ this show rocks. Will go down in the top 10 TV shows of ANY country EVER. And Bryan Cranston ("Malcolm in the Middle," Drive, etc.) as Walter White, high-school biology teacher-cum-meth-cook-kingpin: one of the top 10 TV characters ever. And so far, this may be the best Season yet (my fears of it jumping the shark were clearly mistaken, thank god...). ... Hey. Why let a thread go completely to waste, right?... |

I'm having a similar revelatory sensation watching Season 2 of 'Fringe' on DVD, Craig. This show not only rocks but I'm beginning to think may even be superior to 'The X Files' in many ways!! Watching it one-a-week and it's become one of the most anticipated highlights of my weekend - and there's another 3 seasons to go after this! Seriously well written, directed and performed with sensational production values, mind-boggling twists every few episodes and, what seals it for me, a brilliantly sustained sense of humour that perfectly complements all the horrors and wonders on display and stops the show sliding into po-faced nonsense. I would nominate Walter Bishop as the most memorable TV character since...?!?! I fecking love this show now!! |
