... any films—good, bad, or just blah—that have or take place in or otherwise incorporate a hunting lodge? Part of my research for a new (horror) script I'm developing for someone.

Thanks much in advance!

Wasn't that a cabin? It can be a film of any genre. Wasn't RULES OF THE GAME set in a hunting lodge?

Severance? Not sure if that was a hunting lodge or just a holiday lodge. It was certainly lodgey, though.

The Trollenberg Terror? Although technically that's a ski lodge...

La Regle du Jeu was in a country house, surely, not a lodge. Beast from Haunted Cave ends up in one for a while.

Maybe not all hunting lodges but at least lodges or places to do with hunting or films about hunting. As they occurred to me and not already mentioned:

The Osterman Weekend
Cold Prey
The Most Dangerous Game
Squirm
Turkey Shoot
Figures In A Landscape
Friday The 13th
Friday The 13th Part II
A Bay Of Blood
The Beast Must Die
The Deerhunter
Deliverance
The Shooting Party
Battle Royale

Hey, thanks Stevie! I've seen some of those, of course... some I never heard of but sound fascinating (e.g., Figures In A Landscape).

What I had in mind was mostly representations in film of a classic hunting lodge—or what might pass muster for one.

I did (since it's there on youtube) get halfway through Beast From Haunted Cave, a film I'd never heard of... this one's crying out to be remade! Some classic noir shenanigans takes center stage, with some nameless horror lurking distantly, but lethally, in the background. I'm eating it up!
