Sad news, with the passing of agent and editor Kirby McCauley. Like a lot of the 70's/early 80's pioneers, he had a very interesting life. Did you know him well, Ramsey? |

Ramsey posted about this on Facebook yesterday, Lincoln. They were close friends. It's very sad news. As I said on there Kirby McCauley had impeccable taste. 'Dark Forces' (1980) is possibly the finest horror anthology I have read. A groundbreaking masterwork that set the benchmark for every weird fiction collection that came after. |

Ok, thanks Stevie. I love reading about the authors and editors from the horror boom in the 70's and 80's, just a shame that the stories only come out when one of them passes. Someone should write a history of that era, including the big names and the obscure. In the same style as King's 'Danse Macabre'. Condolences, Ramsey. |
