The world is in mourning tonight. Spock is dead. Long live Spock. The man was a living legend. A rock throughout my life. From 'The Twilight Zone' to 'The Outer Limits' and 'Mission Impossible' to the best TV show ever made, the immortal 'Star Trek', and on to 'Invasion Of The Body Snatchers' (in which his Spock persona was so brilliantly turned on its head) and (thank god he completed it before he died) 'Fringe' - if you haven't watched it then you've missed the greatest TV show of the new millennium so far, as well as his incredibly well judged and moving appearances in the recent 'Star Trek' movies. Live long and prosper my good man, my hero, wherever you reside now. The final frontier has been passed... see ya there when my time comes. Respect to a true legend and a gentleman! |

I echo that sentiment, Stevie. RIP Mr Nimoy - you and the Spock character were such a huge influence on me in my childhood. |

Sad news indeed. Everyone seemed more affected by it than you'd think... even casual fans of the series. Live long and prosper, Mr. Spock... |
