They're only on £91 an hour minimum wage and subsequently struggling. In an unlikely statement, a spokesmen said they'd earn more working as plumbers. I'm not saying all plumbers are great, but I think they'd do a better job of fitting a sink than a barrister. | ||

I heard this on the news. A barrister was saying that they don't get sick- or holiday-pay! Hahahahahaha! That's about as pathetic an argument as the one which claims that footballers only have short careers and so deserve £80,000 a week. The winners take it all, da, da, daaa, da... | ||

Most plumbers are self-employed and don't get sick pay or holiday pay. What irked me was that air of condescension in their argument: we're barristers, therefore we must be worth more than plumbers. | ||
