Watched this tonight and was blown away. Ken Stott was stunning as Hancock, his performance was utterly convincing and his potrayal of Hancock's battle with alocholism was chilling and heart-wrenching. Maxine Peake was also brilliant as Joan Le Mesurier and the battle of love over addiction was truly compelling television. Anyone else catch this?

Yep - plus I thought he carried off the walk and the way Hancock moved very well indeed. The clip from FACE TO FACE at the start was odd simply because in the original Hancock was on the right and not the left - I know that's a tiny thing but they must have looked at the interview before copying it so it couldn't have been any harder to do it t'other way around.
Looking forward to the Frankie Howerd and the Hughie Green plays.

Ken Stott - great performance, he'll be proud of it. I'm really looking forward to the Frankie Howard one.
