I used to love Widmark when I was young - he had such a great screen prescence. KISS OF DEATH, NIGHT AND THE CITY,RUN FOR THE SUN, THE ALAMO... he was great in all of these. RIP. |

Asolutely! Most kids of my generation would remember Widmark in the Alamo. Not a big star in the Wayne/Lancaster mold...But most likely a better actor. RIP. |

Do you have the Criterion NIGHT & THE CITY, Mick? No, Huw - I have the BFI release, which as far as I can tell is a copy of the Criterion one, having the same version of the film with identical extras, but at a fraction of the price. |
