I was most chuffed to receive, as a celebratory gift to mark another anniversary of the fateful day I popped out of my mother, a ticket to experience the musical stylings of the popular beat combo by the rather unusual appellation of 'Disturbed' at the Manchester Apollo. I feel I must report how entirely splendiferous the event proved to be. The support act - Shinedown - were a spiffing bunch of chaps who quickly made the revellers revel in an ocean of excellence. But from the moment that David Draiman was rather amusingly wheeled on stage a la Hannibal Lector, the headliners demonstrated their superior ability to make the audience boogey. The utter fabulosity of the night is difficult to overstate. I now have trouble using the lavatorial facities as I'm afraid I've rocked my bottom off. |
