SAW V! This is getting like POLICE ACADEMY. Although probably more funny. |

Excellent news Craig! In the meantime I shall have to content myself with my novelty SAW IV DVD boxset with its little battery operated rotating toy buzz saw |

That gets me to thinking, John... trying to remember... sticking to themes: the importance of thematic/symbolic threads in film... is there an actual saw that makes its appearance in each film?... and does it hold center-stage somehow?... I know it does in SAW III, with Jigsaw's operation... something to go back and track.... |

I know I shouldn't, but I love the SAW films. |

Yes you should. They're the equivalent of AIP pictures or the New Line Elm Street pictures - cynically churned out to make money but well enough done to be entertaining |

Isn't saw just a head in a flask now? Peering over the top and spitting barbed comments at people who pass by? |

Albie : :-) That is definatly what would be left of the francise now. Just the head spewing puzzles at whoever will stop in the street and have a listen. Maybe someone leaves a message recording on a tape recorder next to the head. |

The final trap would be being trapped with all the saw films on DVD. Nah. I likes 'em. |
