Mick, it was great. It was a charity event, a battle of the bands. 7 bands. We each got about 20 minutes. We played 20th Century Boy by T-Rex, Wonderwall by Oasis, Freefallin' by Tom Petty, and Little Bones by The Tragically hip.

Great pic Michael!

Looks like quite a big venue, I play Free Falling too in the covers band I play in.

Is that a Mandolin I see on stage?

Gary,

Yes, it is quite a big venue, The Opera House, in Toronto. Probably holds a 1000 people. Lots of big acts have played there. Green day, Cheap Trick, etc. Think we had about 350 at the gig.

Yup, that's a mandolin. And I'm playing a cheap Tele knock-off, a J&D.

Hubert, I've a long way to go before I call myself a guitarist, trust me. :-) Just starting out. I've always had an interest in it, but it's only been in the last couple years i've been able to explore it.

Do you play, as well?

Indeed, I do. I'm a music school product, so it's mostly jazz standards here, although we're also doing a couple of Fleetwood Mac numbers, just to have some variety sonority-wise and so that the audience's ears can have a rest.
