Just wanted to show you that piece of original Bryan Talbot artwork I picked up (and paid for!) at FantasyCon. I'm chuffed to bits with this. It was a one-off done for the Radio Times. I remember seeing the pic in RT, but I can't recall the context. It's JRR Tolkein's "Riverandom", and I think it was possibly used when there was a radio adaptation/dramatisation - but I'm not 100% sure of that. If someone here can put me straight on that, please let me know. Anyway, here it is - it's watercolour on board, and I love it! (hope my attempt to post a pic works)

Whoops! Typo alert! I meant to put "Roverandom", not "Riverandom". Bugger! |

I couldn't believe no-one else bid, Mick. I thought I had no chance, but it was the only piece I had any hope of being able to afford (the rest had minimum bid values of £150-£200). I kept going back up to the art room to see if I was still the only bidder! |
