Saw some of what I thought was the pilot on C4 a couple of years ago. Didn't know it wac supernatural. Surprised me when it was all devilly. Same thing happened to me with REAPER this year. I was really enjoying it as a knockabout comedy about two slackers but then the devil turned up and made it boring. Which is what the devil WOULD do, now that I think of it. |

Apparently this girl is found in the sea, and is ambivalent, not really evil or good, till folk start treating her indifferently/badly. It sounded interesting. Hi Proto! But yes, as you once said, the devil needs reinventing. |

The most recent notable portrayal of the devil was by Heath Ledger in Dark Knight, I think. |

He was kind of a sad devil though, wasn't he, Ledger? I think another likely devil was the guy in No Country for Old Men. So wise, so random. |

"Yes you may call me by my first name. Gosling." Yeah, they were both sad devils, both trying to teach us things about the universe and ourselves, trying to do us a favour. Like poor old Judas. I really felt for the Joker more than I did for any other character in the film. He's in so much pain that being beaten up is a holiday for him. |

Did you buy that DVD for Xmas, Tony? My Xmas purchase & watch list this year: Series 3 of Doctor Who, The Brain of Morbius (Doctor Who), The World is Not Enough (best title for any film ever), Goldfinger (don't laugh, but I've never seen it) and The Last Winter (Larry Fessenden's Wendigo gets better and better in my head since I saw it). |

PP was the brainchild of Marti Noxon, one of the major creative forces behind Buffy (Joss's right hand woman). It's a pity though that Point Pleasant turned out to be anything but. I had such high hopes for it. |

I liked the joker, too. He was sort of like albie putting his views into action, and not for a second was he despicable. |

Yeah, I thought he was Albie too. I think because Albie once said that Heath Ledger's joker looks interesting. That's right - Albie almost praised something! |

The killer in No Country was just the laws of physics and mathematics incarnate. The Joker was a shard of broken mirror lodged inside your head. |

Yeah, I think NO COUNTRY was about physics. It made guns scary again. |
