I've finally been given a start date for my new job. I start work at Salford PCT (10 minutes walk from my house) at 10am on 16 Feb. I can't wait. Six weeks off work might sound like a good thing but my body clock is screwed from having no motivation to get out of bed in the morning and I'm going mad(der than usual) with boredom. The only good thing is that I've had some dental treatment for free and joined the local gym for less than half the usual price. I asked them what happens to my monthly payment when I get a job and they told me to not tell them... |

10 minutes is too far: the commute'll kill you. Quit and try to find a job 9 minutes or less away. |

Well done, Web! Love the bit about not telling the gym. Maybe I should try to get away with that... |

It's great to hear some good news in the midst of all this global doom and gloom. |

(now, stop fucking speed-reading my book!) OK, I've stopped. Finished it at 2am today. Very good effort young sir. I really enjoyed this book a lot. The Ramsey influence was obvious at times. Nice and dark with a new type of monster (in my experience) If I had to try to criticize it I'd say that there were about a dozen sentences in the entire book where I thought there were a couple of redundant words. That's it. That's the only fault I can pick with it. Those sentences only stood out because there were so few of them. An example would be "The gate was closed now" towards the end of the book. The word "NOW" is -IMHO - redundant and the removal would lend the sentence more of a sense of finality. This being your debut novel they were eminently forgivable errors (and of course only errors in my judgement probably). With that being the only fault I've got to give this book a 9 out of 10. Very very few writers get a perfect 10. I look forward to reading more of your work. |

Hey, thanks Weber! I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Note: if it wasn't for the superb editing skills of Guy Adams there'd probably be a lot more redundant words in there... |
