Hey, the BFS longlist has been announced! And I'm on it! As are lots (and I do mean lots) of other people! Very happy but slightly embarrassed to have picked up a recommendation for Theaker's Quarterly. However, this could be my year. For one thing, Postscripts is now counted among the anthologies rather than magazines. And for another, I'm about to treat the awards admin to a cup of tea.  | ||

Interesting looking list. Congrats to all - and especially Stephen with TQF. I know how much work you've put into that, so you really deserve it! Hey folks, you've forgotten to mention Des. Cern Zoo is there too. And a special "well done" to Simon as it's your first. In fact, I've kind of got a first on there too. This story: WORLD WITHOUT END, Marie O’Regan, The Thinking Man’s Crumpet #2 This was the TTMC when I was involved in helping Coral out a bit. But I must stress, Coral did all the hard work here - I was just helping out a bit. Well done, Coral. I know about the blood, sweat and tears which has gone into producing TTMC too. You really deserve this!  | ||

I've just started that BFS Yearbook and have only read three or four stories so far but agree with Mr Unsworth there; Stephen Volk's tale is very good indeed. | ||
