Right; am in the house on my own and it's all grey and rainy outside. Am about to do a bit more rewriting on my book thing. This weather helps. Anyone else have a favourite weather for writing? Or does it depend on the thing they're working on? |

I love the rain; it keeps the scumbags off the streets. I also find the sound of rain soothing. |

Do you play music, or have a radio on? I have to have it all quiet. The funny thing is, when I'm off writing in my cafes I don't mind music too much. In a funny way, then, it's the quiet that distracts me. The hustle and buslte and stuff makes me focus in a way I seldom can at home. |

"...it keeps the scumbags off the street" The viginettes you've given about where you live make it sound like some sort of urban wasteland or a Hiroshima of the soul, Zed. |

It gave me the same frission I get in movies when 'pesky teenagers' are walking up the stairs in an old haunted house to see what the noise in the attic and the do-do-do-do music starts. |
