I've read 'Labyrinths' and find Borges' fiction (and non-fiction) amongst the most deeply fascinating and challenging I have read. He created a universe and way of thinking about reality totally his own, a bit like Ballard and our Des, in the few short shorts I've read and been strangely impressed by... |

Beautiful! Borges was one of the finest minds ever to appear in print. I have been in awe of Borges for quarter of a century and my awe has diminished not one jot. My favourite Borges story of all time is probably 'The Congress'. |

Hate to be predictable but it's 'Tlon...' for me. I've always felt a touch of Lovecraftian cosmic horror about that one - without doubt the weirdest weird tale I've read in my life. |
