Following on from Weber's book idea, I have some CDs surplus to requirements that are looking for a home. First two were freebies from The Sunday Times a couple of years back, but which I already have (these are in cardboard sleeves):- New Order - Power, Corruption & Lies Love - Forever Changes (you MUST have this, if nothing else - astonishing stuff) I also have the live Pink Floyd Pulse CD set, an ex-library set that I don't want, and... Annie Ross - Music Is Forever - a "shooby-dooby-do" type album that a friend convinced me I'd love. Well, I didn't. |

Already have the first three, Mick, and don't fancy the sound of Annie Ross much lol. 'Forever Changes' is indeed one of the crowning achievements of 60s psychedelia, and rock music in general, for that matter. Long been a favourite! |

The Annie Ross is definitely not my cup of tea! Pulse I find a bit uninteresting, hence why it's up for grabs. |

I agree, 'Pulse' is the least interesting release ever put out under the Floyd moniker... but I am a completist, worse luck lol. |

New Order & Annie Ross now gone! All bidders (in the case of the Ross, anyhow) to remain anonymous! |

I have much to potentially trade, but I want original cd albums by June Tabor and by the US band Low. I'm also looking for the first four American Music Club albums on orig. cd. And finally any cdr copies of the unreleased Ryan Adams albums. These are just some of the things I want. |

I've got loads of June Tabor. They're staying here though! Even got a couple on vinyl. However, despite the thread's title, I'm suggesting more a giveaway, not a trade. Folk are welcome to anything I want to chuck, and if they want to give anything away to first-comers, great. |

I've got 'California' on Demon Records but wouldn't part with it for love nor money. You know I once shared a pre-gig pint with Mark Eitzel, well he was sitting at the bar beside me, in The Empire here in Belfast. A lovely guy with a voice and songwriting talent sent from heaven. |

California's a wonderful record. My favourite Eitzel release is his Songs of Love live. |

I also have a burned copy of Howard Shore's "Symphonic Suites from the Films of David Cronenberg" (music from Scanners, The Brood and Dead Ringers). I hesitate to call it a pirate since we do have the original but it's now out of print. It's just a copy I made for myself before I was committed to the Probert Institute for---- |

I'll just interrupt Kate there to say that they are indeed free, but obviously you'll have to correctly answer some questions on exploitation cinema first so we can make sure they're going to a good home |

Patrick, I have: California Mercury San Francisco Love Songs For Patriots & 60 Watt Silver Lining West Caught In A Trap And I Can't Back Out 'cause I Love You Too Much, Baby The Invisible Man Music For Courage And Confidence ...all exceptional but my favourite would be AMC's 'Mercury' (of those I've heard). |

JLP - I'd love to have Prince of Darkness & The Omen, if possible. The answer to your trivia question is Jesús Navarro Carrión. In 1971. |

Oh boy, I'd love The Music of Candyman and The Fly. Could I possibly liberate you of those? If there's anything I can send you in return please let me know. |

Okay, this is a little late in the day, perhaps, but I know there are a few John Connolly readers here. When John did his recently publicity tour for The Whisperers he had produced a compilation cd which was, in effect, a soundtrack to the novel, featuring a whole host of good music, inc. Piano Magic, Richmond Fontayne... In theory the cd was exclusive to copies of the book sold in bookshops where he'd appeared, and I'm sure some of you have this cd already. Regardless, John did give me a pile of extras and I still have them so if you'd like one drop me an email and I'll drop it in the post. |
