Hello folks. It must be the best part of a year, at least, that I've been here but I thought I'd stop by again and wish you all a belated happy new year. Actually, what I really wanted, above all, was to know whether anybody could advise me on Ray Garton. Is he worth reading or is it horrible cheap, nasty, piss-poor schlock like Wrath James White and J. F. Gonzalez? It's just that I've got a signed h/b copy of Shackles here that I can pick up for next to nothing. But I'd rather leave it if it's not worth my time and money... |

Hi Patrick, try Garton's "Live Girls", if you can grab it, and then decide upon further reading the Author. |

I've always heard of Ray Garton, but have never read him. However, in googling him to refresh my memory (to see if I maybe had read him but forgot), I stumbled across his blog (funny title!)... and this quite long, but shockingly absorbing (edge-of-your-seat-so) and incredibly moving entry from but just a month ago—trust me, this is well worth the time in reading: http://preposteroustwaddlecock.blogspot.com/2011/12/all-writers-are-assholes-sai d-writer.html And it leaves me desperate to know one thing: JUST WHO IS THAT ASSHOLE WRITER?!?! |
