Dear All Some of you will be aware that I spend a fair bit of time over at the Vault of Evil where I engage in my love of all things pulp, including scribbling comments on the books I've read. While I appreciate that the members of this board might not have the enthusiasm for Birkinesque torture, Chetwynd-Hayes silliness and the sheer outrageous factor of much of the Pan output that I have it's occurred to me that the Vault of Evil has built itself into a superb resource for fans looking for information on this kind of thing. And Ramsey doesn't have one. So, as the reading group has stuttered along in one form or another but keeps dying a death I imagine for all kinds of reasons, and because during my pulp adventures I've been reviewing Ramsey's stuff anyway, how about we turn this bit of the board into a proper resource for Ramsey's literary output? No-one has to commit to review or look at anything but if anyone wants to post comments on stories or novels they can do so here under appropriate thread titles. We can keep all our other chat to the main bit of the board but this bit can be purely devoted to his fiction. I also thought it would be a nice idea that anyone randomly looking for info on RC could come here and find a valuable resource on his own website. Which is where it should be really, don't you think? Comments welcome and in the meantime I'm going to carry something over from the Vault to show you what I mean. |

I haven't visited Vault of Evil in a while, but consider it a prime resource. I was in Canterbury and environs last week and didn't find a single Campbell book in any of the bookshops. A far cry from the early 90ies, when I spotted them just about everywhere, supermarkets and newsstands included. Waterstone's primarily stock King and Koontz. I plan to spend a few days in London sometime later this year and hope things are different there. |

A very good idea, Lord P. It would also be nice if Ramsey's bibliography was up to date on his main site as the 2000's bit doesn't contain much info, although I'd rather Ramsey spent the time writing fiction than amending his website! |

Forgive me, Mick! S. T. Joshi is working on a much more detailed biblio for PS to publish. It should include some unpublished stuff of mine, such as both unfinished drafts of the John Dickson Carr imitation I wrote before The Inhabitant. |
