Picked up a copy of BS 11 on my lunch break, not had a chance to look at it yet, but thought I'd let people know its available.

Had it delivered the other day. That'll be the last one of my subscription. Don't think I'll renew it - I'm in a bit of a huff with them. Such is the way of rejections.

John, I'm glad you put that smiley on the end, there. :-)

Fwiw, I never tried them with anything. I used to get The Third Alternative all the time. Nvere picked up a copy of Black Static, yet. It's good, no? I still hate the name, though.

Er, "never," not "nvere." Nvere is my impish forest friend.

I get Black Static and always look forward to it. I've never submitted anything to Andy yet either.

It can be a bit patchy, as you'd expect with any collection of stories, but the quality is generally pretty high. Good reviews section.

I have some problems with the columnists - they can be a bit too insular and tend to have a bit of a blind-spot when it comes to horror/sci-fi. They also give the impression of not being too well-read outside of the field, and tend to go over old points and arguements as if they're the first one to come up with them.

I tend to like nearly all the fiction. I'm a subscriber. The artwork is also excellent.

Ditto. The fact they regularly publish Daniel Kaysen and James Cooper, two of the best new short story writers around at the moment (imo), is reason enough to subscribe.
