Further to the Ten Albums In Ten Minutes thread I just had to link to this- my favourite track from one of my favourite albums ever. The piece is 'Je M'En Irai' (I Will Go) from Exaudi Vocem Mean Part I by Dark Sanctuary. Not so obscure but breathtaking: Gram Parsons' 'Return of the Grievous Angel'. Emmylou Harris' backing vocals add to the ghostly effect of this old-before-its-time song of travelling, mystery and grief. This song virtually created the 'alternative country' genre. | ||
